So it seems that I'll be posting once a year?
Work. Real world commitments.
Etc.
You all get it - probably better than I would.
That said - a new poem.
As always - tell me what you think.
Enjoy!
"An Ode To Seasons Changing"
-Narayanan Mohan
January carries with it a bitter cold,
starting an ancient cycle again, anew.
February brings notes of love to hold,
with sunlight and warmth peeking through.
March's arms carry the winds of spring,
the world now wakes, and daylight grows.
April's parade brings blossoms that sing,
mischief and tricks of the fool now flow.
May settles gently beneath the evening skies,
growing brighter still, fleeting moments of joy.
June shuffles in with a sultry disguise,
as children run home, holidays to enjoy.
July scorches in, but slows down to a crawl,
skies of silvery storms, and of golden sun.
August harvests carry a desire to forestall,
lingering on moments we cannot outrun.
On cooler winds, sways September along,
binding nostalgia and change together in weaves.
October dances in to the Pumpkin King's Song,
with Nature's theatre beneath golden leaves.
Time stands still now, in November's care,
as skies grow grey, and winds have chilled.
The cycle now ends: "a December affair",
of warmth amidst darkness, a year fulfilled.
Wonderful poem! 😍
